Getting Ahead with Advanced Placement

The College Board’s Advanced Placement courses, offered in more than 30 subjects enables students to pursue college-level studies — with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement or both — while still in high school.

There are many reasons to take AP courses. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Challenge yourself academically.
  • Build college-level academic skills.
  • Set yourself apart in college admission.
  • Earn college credit and placement with a successful exam score.
  • Skip introductory courses
